Nurse Practitioners

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse with advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness. They work alongside the doctors to provide high quality patient care. Nurse practitioners focus on prevention and education and can carry out physical examinations, arrange investigations and prescribe medicine.  Our Nurse Practitioners are Suzie Bureau, Becky Godbold, Jodie Thorpe and Michelle Yapp.

The nurses run a comprehensive service of nursing, health promotion and preventative medicine. They are available by appointment for dietary advice, contraceptive checks and injections, smear tests, vaccinations, ear care, asthma/diabetic reviews and child/adult immunisations. Currently our nurses are: Jenna Cawston, Caroline McElroy and Sam Rogers

The HCAs support the doctors and nurses with their duties. They are available by appointment for blood pressure checks, blood tests, urine tests, ECGs, dressings, smoking cessation advice, weight management and new patient health checks. Currently our HCAs are: Adrian Brown, Michelle Scannell and Irene Barrett, our phlebotomist.
